Car racing
On March 9, our AWANA Club held their annual Grand Prix Car Races with about 50 cars entered by clubbers and staff. This year the AWANA program was under the leadership of Jason and Tifany Clark. The event was attended by 80 friends and family of clubbers.

Church dancing
In March and April we collected 40 boxes of crackers and 107 cans of fish for the Associated Churches of Fort Wayne. We also collected items for MCC health kits, and filled 92 kits.

Kids against hunger
The Bluffton (Ohio) University Camerata Singers were in concert at Zion March 10. Participating churches in our Mid-Lee County Council observed March 13-19 as “Week of Christian Unity.”

Dethroning king stomach
The Chamber Singers of Eastern Mennonite University, under the direction of Kenneth J. Nafziger, presented music March 6. Our sermon that day was “Dethrone King Stomach,” an introduction to 40 days of fasting and prayer.

The Judas in us all
On Youth Sunday, March 6, Lindale’s good-sized MYF did a very commendable piece of work with the worship service, on the topic “The Judas in Us All.” Sponsors Jeremy and Jody Byler, Tara and Cara Kauffman and Luke and Cindy Voth helped plan and lead the service.

White House responds to children
“Talkabout” is a paragraph featured in our weekly church bulletin giving the Scripture of the Bible story explored by the children that Sunday. It gives ideas for talking about the story, suggestions for applying it and a short prayer.

Evidence of resurrection
On Palm Sunday, for special services we brought in Don Bierle of FaithSearch.org, who shared information on the historical reliability of the Scriptures and evidence for the resurrection. Many people reported this helped them in their faith journey. Several were moved to cross the line of faith in Jesus.

Hosting homeless families
The abundant participation of many members enabled us to host Warm Nights in our church March 6-13. Warm Nights is a program for homeless individuals and families supported by 15-20 neighborhood congregations. Each night 20-25 adults and children were served a hot meal and given lodging.

Preventing sports injuries
On March 6, the following were baptized: Trey Sommers, Benjamin Troyer, Noah Hershberger, Chad Troyer and Erion Vance.

Eight young adults enter missions
First Mennonite and Iglesia Menonita Casa Betania, a Spanishlanguage congregation FMC helps support, held a joint service March 27. Pastor Jaime Cazares of Casa Betania gave the sermon, and the IMCB worship band led the music.
