Best of both worlds
The Dutch Anabaptist leader Menno Simons issued a wake-up call in 1539. “True evangelical faith cannot lie dormant,” he declared. He described what a wide-awake evangelist ought to do: feed the hungry, console the oppressed, teach the Word of God, repay evil with good, seek the lost.

Fla. church to build for others rather than itself
Cape Christian Fellowship was going to build a new auditorium. Membership at the Cape Coral, Fla., church has doubled over the last five years. On an average weekend, 1,400 people participate in four services; 3,000 were anticipated for Easter, the congregation’s 25th anniversary.

London congregation takes worship outside with ‘walking church’
The last Sunday of every month since January, Wood Green Mennonite Church in London has been worshiping outdoors and on the move. They call it “walking church.”

I’d like to respond to Duane Schrag’s concern over my supposed approval of graffiti at Trachselwald Castle (Letters, March 19). Perhaps a look at the original text of the article submitted to MWR (“In Europe, Discovering History Deepens Faith,” March 5) will add a bit of context and nuance:

Source of pride
The first issue of the new Mennonite World Review made me proud to be a Mennonite once again. I was saddened to read the goodbyes of several columnists, though. May God continue to direct you.
