Worship devoted to youth
December was a wonderful time to reflect and revisit Advent. During these six services, we took up a special offering for the Children’s Home of Cincinnati, a facility that offers assistance to vulnerable children and their families. The money collected will help sponsor a classroom for needed supplies for the children and for the teacher.

Anthem objectors
A new website, Stories from National Anthem Conscientious Objectors, at http://anthemcostories.posterous.com/, was launched on Martin Luther King Day. The website is sponsored by a group of faculty and staff at Goshen College who want the college to keep its historic stance that patriotic rituals are a form of idolatry that is often the root of violence against our brothers and sisters abroad. Personal narratives posted on the website to date relate experiences from Nicaragua, Ireland, Vietnam, Uruguay, the United States and other countries. The website welcomes submissions from readers.
